Unlimited SMS - Android configuration

Before you get started

In order to setup your SMS plan you will need the following 2 things:

  1. Android phone. Our SMS Gateway App will work on any Android phone with the following specifications:
    • Android 9.0 or above.
    • Device with 2 GB or more RAM.
    • It works on lower spec devices, but you may experience degraded performance. We recommend 4 GB
    • Working camera in order to scan the QR code to login
  2. Active SMS sim card
    • You must have an active SIM card in the phone that will enable you to send and receive SMS messages from the phone to another phone.
    • If you have both these things then you are ready to connect the phone to your CRM.

Step 1: Update Device Details

Once connected we will see your phone on our backend and connect it to your account.

In order for us to identify it easily please update the device details.

  1. Access Settings
  2. Click into Sim Card and Mobile Data
  3. Update details to your business name and the phone number - you will need to send these to us to complete this process.

Once the app is installed and running ensure that the phone is kept powered on and operational at all times.

Step 3: Updating RCS

In some circumstances delivery and receipt of messages may work better with RCS disabled and in general we recommend to have it turned off

If you are using an eSIM from another country to send and receive SMS over WIFI then you will need to have RCS switched on.

In order to change RCS:

  • On your device, open Google Messages
  • At the top right, tap your profile picture or icon
  • Go to Messages settings.
  • Tap RCS chats.
  • Turn RCS chats on or off See further details here if required

Once all these steps are complete

Please create a ticket with our team telling us the phone number and the business name you set on the SIM card back in step 1. We will attach your SIM to your CRM account.

Once we have confirmed your SIM is attached to your subaccount if you have issues with SMS not sending or receiving please go through the following troubleshooting steps.
