Do you provide cPanel access?

We provide Managed WordPress Hosting, and it is delivered significantly differently from other 'cPanel' website hosting.

cPanel is software built for web hosting companies to enable their clients to configure, manage and run websites. You get access to all sorts of settings and therefore this is very general hosting, with high competition for server resources.

It also means you have to be relatively competent to set up and run software (not just Wordpress but any web application) via cPanel, from connecting domains, issuing SSL certificates, set up of software, connecting databases, understanding SFTP, security user passwords, PHP versions, optimisation settings, PHP workers, inodes - the list goes on!

SixFive's Managed WordPress Hosting is 'Managed.' This means we set up everything very specifically for WordPress, for the speed and stability, and for the security of your sites. As such, it's a little more than you would pay elsewhere, but you save on time and hair.  We deal with all that for you so you can login and add content and concentrate on your genius zone.

This is also why you don't need commonly used security, backup or caching plugins that other hosts will recommend - it's all baked into our hosting hardware stack and doesn't rely on plugins.

However developers still need access to push code, or make database tweaks and so we have our own version of cPanel over at wp.sixfive.io

This allows a technical person to access sFTP to push files, and MySQL for database changes. It will allow them to turn on / off debugging mode and clear server caches in case of any issues.

To get access please pop us an email to support@sixfive.io with the developer's email address and we'll help organise this for you!
