How to Screenshot (Mac)
What makes a good screenshot?
Tips for a good screenshot:
- Include all of your visible screen
- If it's a website, please include the web address at the top so we have context on what page you are looking at
- If there is lot going on - annotate the screenshot (see below)
- If there are multiple steps use a screen recorder to provide a video
When you get a screenshot, please ensure you show us the entire screen you are on. If you are on a website, we also like to see the address bar at the top as this provides context as to what page you are on.
How to screenshot (Mac)
To screenshot on a Mac:
On your keyboard, hold down the following keys simultaneously.
⌘command and shift and 3
This will capture the entire screen and saves it as a file on the desktop. The file name will look like “Screen shot 2022-12-22 at 08.45.00 AM.png”.
You can then attach this file to an email.
